



Click the File menu and select Download or select. The two options were brought back due to complaints from Google Docs users who have grown accustomed to seeing those buttons outright when creating their documents. Select the name of the file in the Title column of the Documents List to open the file in Google Docs. Incidentally, the Google Docs developers have return the Save and Save as option which was previously removed from the upper right hand corner of the Google Docs main page. Google Docs also added the Share drop-down menu for sharing a page, web publishing and previewing the documents created by users. These six main menus contain various functions that were present in the old version of Microsoft Word. More particularly, the tabbed interface now shows traditional menus in Microsoft Word 2003 which include File, Edit, Insert, Format, Tools, and Table. I don’t know if the Google Docs developers are intentionally doing it or is it really the way to develop Google Docs into a full-blown web based desktop applciation? Google Operating System has spotted new changes in the Google Docs interface that would somehow remind you of the old Microsoft Word 2003 interface.
